Cow protection and cow worship will only lay foundation for satyayuga told
Sri Sri Sri Visweswara Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt, Udipi. He inaugurated the three day National Conference on
Glory of Vande Gomatharam at Mahathi Auditorium, Tirupati.

Sri B.Karunakara Reddy, Chairman, TTD said that this programme is not related
to any religion but it is related to all human beings. He expressed his dissatisfaction over sending the Cows to the
slaughter homes and given a call that everyone should protect Cows which has significance and greatest role in Indian tradition
and Culture.
Sri K.V.Ramanachary, Executive Officer, TTD, explained indetail about the
main idea behind the conduct of this National Conference by TTD in Tirupati.
Padmabushan Prof. N.S.Ramaswamy, President, CARTMAN, Banglore while delivering
keynote address said that, even now mankind depends on livestock for food, work and many other uses. Livestock provide
output (milk, work, meat etc.) valued at Rs.1.6 Lakh crores per year, forming 7 per cent of India’s GNP. The notes enclosed
show the economic and social benefits of improving the technology and management of the Livestock Sector.
In spite of the magnificent contribution of Livestock, Government spends
very little for their care and welfare. The Animal Welfare Board spends most of their annual budget of Rs.ten crores
on pets and dogs in urban areas, and that too for the ABC program to restrict the population of stray dogs. The Budget
for livestock should be increased to Rs.100 crores per year. But government would not spend money out of compassion
to animals. Only economic considerations would prompt government to spend on the care and welfare of Livestock.
Sri Sri Prasanna Venkatachariar Chaturvedi Swami of Ramanuja Mission Trust,
Chennai, Sri M.Venkataramana, M.L.A., Tirupati, Sri K.Nageswara Rao, Z.P.Chairman, Krishna District, Sri L.Mohan, Director,
Animal Husbandry, Sri Sri Atmananda Swamiji of Tamil Nadu, Sri Sri Sri Rawath, Dist. Collector, Sri Revathi Raman Doss, ISKON,
Tirupati, Sri Varadan Chandar of Sri Bhasyakara Charitable Trust of Chennai were among the prominent speakers on the occasion.
